This nuno felted scarf is subtle and sultry, like a slow-moving current on a bayou in Louisiana, and might reflect what Monet would have painted had he visited the mysterious locale. The fibers include yak, silk, and merino on a silk gauze base; the different fibers lend a shimmery and luxurious texture to the piece, especially on the cream-colored reverse side. Yes, this scarf is reversible!

This handmade cobweb felted scarf is bright and cheery like the sun, for spring and fall wear. It will pair especially well with casual outfits such as a white tee-shirt and brightly patterned skirt, or with jeans and a jacket! It has a lovely drape and is light enough to prevent you from getting too warm while wearing it. It is definitely an accessory piece that just happens to do double-duty keeping the chill off during cool mornings and in chilly restaurants.

This one-of-a-kind nuno felted wrap is part of my Land Series, inspired by the stunning sunsets that grace my studio in Santa Fe. The setting sun and its wavering rays are stylized from a fine golden yarn of merino, silk, and cashmere, and the rolling hills and falling night sky of navy and rose are felted using top merino roving. All of this on a fine boysenberry silk gauze base.
